We took off from our hotel Table bay at the Victoria and Albert water front . It was indeed a beautiful drive into the country side .Mountains lining on both the sides of the road with sky line dressed with silver clouds which could easily pass of as a picture postcard scenery . Nearly an hour later we reached the Franschhoek valley where we visited the Roca restaurant at the Dieu Donne wine farm ( Address: Dieu Donne Vineyards, 28 Uitkyk St, Cape Town, 7690, South Africa) Roca means rock and “Dieu Donne “ means a gift from god .So we were finally at the rock on the beautiful picturesque land given by god. There is a micro brewery at the vineyard and Roca restaurant where one can combine sophisticated eating with a magnificent panoramic view of the valley the manager was kind enough to allocate a premium seating for us so we could get the best view of this beautiful valley. I selected a Merlot red wine from their in house wine list.
With a soothing pipe line music the valley and the splendid view of the sun set the valley looked like a fairy land.
