Worlds best lemon glaze cake
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 Cup all-purpose flour
- 11/2 Tsp Baking powder
- 1 Tbsp Lemon zest
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Cup unsalted butter
- 1 Cup Granulated sugar
- 2 Large eggs , at room temperature
- 1 Tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp Fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 Cup buttermilk
- 1/4 Cup Fresh lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp Caster Sugar
- 1 Cup Caster Sugar
- 1.5 Tbsp Fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Milk
INSTRUCTIONS
- For the cake
- Pre heat the oven at 180 degree centigrade
- Separate egg yolk and whites Bear whites till soft peaks are formed .keep aside
- In a pan mix all the dry ingredients other than granulated sugar
- Beat egg yolk and sugar till pale consistency is obtained Add the lemon zest and juice at this stage
- Add butter and beat again Gradually add the dry ingredients satellites by step and mix in the butter milk in between the process
- Pour the batter in the greased spring baking tin
- Bake for 40 minutes till center comes clean Remove the cake and bring it to room temperature and remove from the tin
- For syrup Mix lemon juice and powdered sugar Pour over the cake gently
- Icing Mix in the lemon juice and sugar .heat over low heat in a pan and then add milk Remove from heat .let it cool Gently glaze the cake
